Mrs Ashifa Riaz Fatyana, wife of Mr Riaz Fatyana, was born on January 7, 1964. She graduated in 1990 from University of the Punjab, Lahore; and is a social worker. She has participated as Delegate and Observer in various conferences held in Pakistan. She has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in General Elections 2002. She worked as Minister for Women Development & Human Rights (with additional charge of Social Welfare) from November 24, 2003 to November 30, 2006. He is functioning as Minister for Women Development since December 1, 2006. Her husband was Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 1988-90, 199093 and 1993-96; also served as Provincial Minister and is a sitting Member of National Assembly. Her father, Mian Afzal Wattoo, was Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab and Minister during 1972-77.
