The Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, as a pillar of democratic governance, is dedicated to fostering inclusivity, transparency, and efficiency in its legislative processes. In recognition of the evolving needs of our society and the imperative to continually enhance parliamentary practices, the Parliamentary Development Unit has been formed as part of a transformative initiative under the patronship and leadership of the Speaker Punjab Assembly. The unit aims to enhance legislative processes within the assembly, promote accountability, foster engagment with society at large and use this unique platform to spearhead special initiatives that stand in line with the true spirit of a deliberative, representative and inclusive democratic system.
The initative hopes to bridge the gap between civil society and lawmakers to explore and develop avenues for cooperation that fall in line with emerging trends in parliamentary practices across the world.
